Sensitive skin: what it means

Stinging when you apply a new product, redness that flares up for no clear reason, reactions to fragrance, heat, or even cold air. Sensitive skin has a weakened barrier that lets irritants in and moisture out. The right approach is minimal, fragrance-free, and barrier-first. Less is genuinely more here.

What to look for in products
  • Centella Asiatica and Madecassoside for calming + barrier repair
  • Heartleaf to soothe redness
  • Panthenol for healing support
  • Propolis for gentle antibacterial + nourishing benefits
  • Ceramide-rich, fragrance-free moisturizers
  • Mineral SPF (zinc oxide) over chemical filters
What to avoid
  • Anything with added fragrance or essential oils
  • Alcohol denat in any step
  • Physical exfoliants (scrubs, brushes, mitts)
  • High-strength acids and retinoids (introduce extremely slowly if at all)
  • Too many active ingredients layered at once

AM: Cream or balm cleanser (skip the foam step if skin is reactive), Centella toner, calming essence, ceramide moisturizer, mineral SPF.

PM: Gentle oil cleanser, optional second cleanse with a cream formula, Madecassoside ampoule, propolis essence on flared areas, barrier cream.
