Hydrating Toners

A Korean hydrating toner is a watery or lightly gel-like step that goes on after cleansing to add moisture and leave skin ready for the products that follow. Every product in this collection is a hydrating toner, from thin and watery to essence-like and jelly textures.

Brands include SKIN1004, Isntree, SOME BY MI, Haruharu Wonder, ISOI, Innisfree, Laneige and TIAM. Examples are the Anua PDRN 100 Hyaluronic Acid Booster Toner, the illiyoon Ceramide Ato Gentle Skin Toner, the Hanyul Pure Artemisia Watery Calming Toner, the PO:DL Barley Hyaluronic WaterPop Jelly Toner and the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Capsule Toner.

For dry skin, look for hyaluronic acid or ceramides. For oilier skin, a thin toner with niacinamide, such as the Jumiso Niacinamide 2+ Pore Smoothing Toner, keeps layers light. Not sure how toners differ from essences? Read Toner vs Essence vs Serum vs Ampoule: A Simple Korean Skincare Decoder.
