      great product

      i’d heard so many good things about this essence, so i finally got a bottle of hwahae and used it all up. the texture is definitely sticky, but depending on how you use it, it works really well.

      for exfoliating, i applied toner after cleansing, then pumped out the essence and gently rolled it on.. you can actually feel the whiteheads coming out. after that, i just rinsed with water and followed up with a moisturizer.

      if you’re using it for hydration instead, just apply it and gently pat it in for better absorption.

      i used it about once a week when i wanted gentle exfoliation, and it worked great!!!

      simple, bean-based, and unique

      i was drawn to this because of the simple ingredients. it’s literally made from beans, kind of like natto. it doesn’t feel sticky when applied, more like a light coating on the skin.

      one thing to note: it doesn’t have much moisture on its own, so you’ll want to prep your skin with a hydrating toner or essence first. if i skip that step, my skin starts to feel a bit tight after a few hours. still, it’s a really unique product i enjoy using!

      gentle and effective with consistent use

      this essence is made with non-irritating soy fermentation ingredients, so i feel safe using it even on sensitive skin. with regular use, it seems to help with blackheads and keeps my skin feeling clearer.

      if your skin responds well to fermented products, this might be a great option for mild exfoliation too. overall, i’m really satisfied!

      a keeper

      i originally got this for gentle exfoliation, but ended up falling in love with it as a moisturizing step. it actually helped my makeup go on smoother and stopped it from flaking... totally exceeded my expectations.

      the stretchy texture felt a bit strange at first, but once i got used to it, it wasn’t a problem at all. i’ll definitely keep repurchasing this one!

      weirdly satisfying to see the gunk come off

      some real grainy bits came out and honestly… it felt kinda gross but also super satisfying haha.. definitely a guilty pleasure.

      it was a bit harsh for me at first probably because i was too rough with it. next time i’ll try being gentler when massaging it in πŸ«₯
